Kittens for sale!

I was putting together some photographs for my next round of scrapbooking -- Wednesday is "create something day" here -- and it made me start thinking about our kittens. Or, okay, they're technically cats now, at over two years old, but they still act like kittens.

We were really fortunate to find kittens pretty much as soon as we decided we wanted and could handle them. Mine was from a former dorm-mate who couldn't keep the kitty she'd found (one thinks she would have checked her apartment's policy on pets before plunking down a chunk of change on an animal. . .). Boyfriend's cat came from a friend-of-a-friend who found a litter under her car one morning. In both cases, we didn't have to do a lot of searching.

However, I have a few friends now who are having a really hard time finding a companion, and they're looking everywhere for kittens for sale. I got an email from one friend today gushing over how excited she was to have finally found a site that listed maine coon cats! They're her favorite breed, even if I think they're something of an acquired taste:



Anyway, she told me to take a look around the site; after seeing all the maine coon cats for sale, she's sold on getting one. I don't think we can get a third, but some of the pictures are just adorable. I pulled out a few of my favorites just from the maine coon section:



Isn't the little one precious? I may have to convince Boyfriend that we need to buy a new kitten!
